Web Biz Opportunities - StarrBizz.comOne of the questions I hear from Internet home business newcomers is "How soon can I quit my day job?" Of course, there is no set formula that can be applied across the board to every aspiring entrepreneur. We each have different starting points and follow different paths of development.
There are marketers who have the ability to launch a new online business or a new marketing program one month and are already earning a significant income the next month. And there are marketers who struggle for years before they earn enough
home business income each month to "risk" quitting their dreaded day jobs.
Internet Marketers who start from a point of inexperience will have a greater challenge reaching their desired income goals. If they bring some offline business or marketing experience to the table, they will have an advantage over those who start with a complete blank slate. But even so, marketing on the Internet takes research, application and testing ... despite what some of the promoters say about it being easy.
Of course, refinements in technology and in marketing systems do make the process easier for more people to quickly get on the
home business bandwagon, but there are still some basics that have to be learned and mastered.
It's best if you have your own domain so you have full control over what is placed on your website and how it is presented. Pre-built affiliate websites are fine for beginners, but they are limited. You want a site that you can modify however you want, whenever you want.
The exception to this rule is a pre-built site built on a format that allows you to host it on your own domain and comes with full customization access and tools.
Take my
Affiliate Power Central website, for example. This site started out as a template, but I have been making minor modifications over the past week as I have been becoming familiar with the WordPress platform. I'll continue to make improvements as time goes on.
Now, keep in mind that if you have your own domain name and website, you will have to learn some additional skills so you can make the changes yourself without dependence on outside help. That's all part of enhancing your value as a knowledgeable leader and a unique service provider.
The thing is, the more you stand out from the crowd, the greater your perceived value will be. Demonstrate your ability to innovate and people will be drawn to that. People seek leadership.
If you need to learn or further develop your skills to become a marketing leader, one of the best ways to do that is by learning from others who have already mastered those skills. I made reference to our newest marketing program at the beginning of this post. And I pointed out my new website,

If you are thinking about starting up an
Internet home business and quitting your day job, I encourage you to first consider a few things:
- What level of Internet Marketing experience do you presently have?
- How much time can you commit to your new business each week?
- Are you willing to study and learn some basic marketing and website management skills?
- How "teachable" are you? Experienced marketers are happy to coach and mentor willing students, but you must have a positive attitude towards such instruction.
How you answer these questions could well determine how quickly you could expect to earn the level of
home business income you need to be able to quit your day job. Just how
