3. Choose
keyword phrases that relate to the theme of your site. This makes it more search engine friendly and more likely to rank high for those targeted words. Build a lengthy keyword list that you can expand upon as you develop your site and add more pages to it.
4. When designing your website, consider your target market and always keep it in mind.
Choose a general theme that your site will follow and maintain consistency from one page to the next. Pay attention to details such as background color, font style and size. Try to keep this uniform throughout your whole website.
5. Professional online marketers and
home based web biz enthusiasts build websites that are rich in unique content. Search engines hold content-rich websites in higher esteem than sites filled with content that is duplicated on other sites.
Unique content typically means content you have written or have purchased or obtained exclusively for your site. Such content allows you the flexibility to monetize it with things such as pay-per-click text links, banners, and
affiliate programs that you represent.
