Internet Marketers and
Internet Home Business enthusiasts make the mistake of trying to go it alone when they could easily team up with others of like mind and boost their efforts.
Some call this particular kind of teamwork the
Master Mind Principle.
There are various interpretations of what the
Master Mind is and how to apply it. I am going to keep my interpretation very simple and basic today.
I first read about the Master Mind, oh, way back last century - roughly somewhere around the '80s - in the book
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
Think and Grow Rich was originally published in 1937, I believe, and has since sold millions of copies.
Hill's
definition of Master Mind: "Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose."
Internet Marketers can apply this concept to everything from simple peer support and mutual encouragement, to joint venture agreements, to complete business partnerships.
The idea behind the
Master Mind is to draw upon each other's knowledge, experience, skills and strengths plus their levels of confidence, focus and commitment to the chosen goal or purpose.
When you go it alone, you may hit moments of doubt or indecision that inhibit or completely block your progress. When you
Master Mind with others your strength and resolve are magnified, empowering you to easily push through those same barriers.
If you work well with others, joint venture agreements and business partnerships may be a good choice for you. Within those arrangements, each party assumes duties and responsibilities best suited to their skills and abilities. Where one is weak, the other will compensate, and vice versa. Success and achievement are thereby accelerated.
If you are not interested in a formal business commitment, you can still
use the Master Mind to enhance your progress. Simply "buddy up" with one or more marketer with similar interests and goals and make an informal commitment to encourage and counsel each other as needs arise.
For example, I am a member of a particular group of focused
Internet Marketers who communicate via a specialized, members-only business forum on a daily basis. We share marketing ideas, experiences and insights that inspire and encourage each other. When we have marketing questions beyond our own experience, or run into personal roadblocks, we take them to this
Master Mind group and get the answers or encouragement that we need to overcome the obstacle.
This group goes beyond the typical, generalized online business forum. We act as trusting confidantes, sensitive to each other's needs and goals. We often share a depth of insight and opinion that we would otherwise hold back in regular forums.
That is the nature, the spirit and the trust of the Master Mind. When you enjoy that level of freedom of expression, the actions you take to build your business will become as bold as the questions you ask of your Master Mind group.
If you want to accelerate your
Internet Marketing efforts, or you have reached a point in your
Internet Home Business where your results seem to be stagnating, then I suggest it is time for you to
develop or
refocus your
marketing Master Mind group, or
find one to join.
