http://www.StarrBizz.comI'm back home, but we are entertaining company for a few days and have to take them out visiting relatives and friends. It makes it a real challenge to get anything done with
my Internet Marketing business.
What I really want to be doing is writing articles for article directories, working on changes to my website and making other site optimization improvements. Also, I should be focusing on such marketing and promotional activities as participation in online business forums and discussion groups, making submissions to website directories, and working on developing a presence in some of the social networking communities.
But, I'm not getting any of that done and it is
frustrating. Some might say that I am a workaholic; I need to relax, take some time off. But the way I see it, I just know what I like, and what I like is writing, marketing and online business promotion. When I do these things I feel good because I am being productive, using my skills and making progress towards my personal goals. What's wrong with that?
Internet Marketing is not "work" to me. It is a step by step process of building a foundation for ongoing financial success -
and I enjoy the process. The income I earn is a bonus, a reward for diligence and perseverance.
Not that I don't need the income to pay bills like everybody else. If I wasn't
building my Internet Home Business I would have to get a J.O.B. outside of the home ... and THAT I would definitely NOT enjoy. (
Been there. Done that. Never liked it.)
Which brings me back to the situation at hand: the unavoidable interruptions to
my Internet Marketing activity this week. I enjoy the socializing, to a degree. But my marketing work is not getting done.
Fortunately, as I have mentioned before,
the great thing about Internet Marketing is that your business keeps on running even when you are not. Once you have your marketing websites set up, get some advertising going, create a presence in business forums and social network sites, set up your autoresponder and email marketing campaign, and a few other things, your
Internet Home Business will have a strong enough foundation to thrive
without you during those times you have to be away from it.
A traditional job just doesn't allow the same kind of flexibility. For me, the best choice I made was to leave the corporate world and start building my home business seriously.
I realize that not everybody can just up and quit their jobs ... and you don't have to. You can
start building your Internet Marketing business part time, then phase your regular job out as your marketing income increases.
Internet Marketing isn't for everybody. It does take focus, commitment and effort just like any business, but the greatest benefit is, once you get it rolling, it takes far less effort to maintain the flow than a traditional business,
and you can be earning residual income for many years to come.
I am using the
Plug-In Profit Site marketing plan as the foundation for my online business. It's a great plan that includes marketing websites, affiliate income opportunities and an email marketing campaign, plus a built in training program and an excellent peer support group.

For me, it may be a few more weeks before my
Internet Home Business activities get back on track again. In the mean time, despite my frustration, I know my foundation is firm, so about all I can do for now is simply
grin and bear it.
