Despite the debate, content still reigns supreme in my books, especially for those who are new to online marketing and the wonderful world of
Internet home business. Whether you write the content yourself or use easy, convenient and readily available
private label content, it is still one of your best bets for building a
home based online business.
In a few moments, I will share with you some unique and inspiring ways you can use content to get free advertising, but first, a few words about what content is and how it is used in
Internet Marketing.
Content is typically the written word presented in articles, reports, news stories, e-books, e-zines, e-mags, e-mail courses, press releases, web books and more and can also be used as the basis for audio and video presentations.
Content is used by marketers, either to directly promote their products, programs or services, or as an informational resource that can be sold or given away as a "freebie" to reward or entice customers.
Now, here are a few exciting ways you can use content to leverage your marketing efforts by getting more free advertising.
How To Use Content To Get Free AdvertisingHere are three basic ways:
- You can submit your content free to the variety of publications mentioned above
- You can allow other people to give away or sell your content
- You can have people link to your web site to get your content free. You can even get other site owners to point their visitors to your site for content.
Beginner: Give Away Your Content OnlineGiving away content is a powerful way to get free advertising. For example, give other online marketers permission to use your articles or reports on their web site or in their e-zine.
Include a resource box at the end of your article and there's your free advertising! It's a win/win situation for both you and the marketers or publishers that need the extra content.
Intermediate: Let Others Give Your Content Away For YouGive your free e-book or series of articles or reports to other marketers with the rights to also give them away. Consider this: if 20 people each give away your e-book to 20 more people, that's a total of 400 people who will see your ad, your signature file or your resource box, included in the material.
Keep leveraging yourself like this and imagine the potential!Advanced: Create A Directory, Let Other Sites Link To ItOver the course of time, most marketers accumulate a virtual library of content they have created. You can take all of your free content and create a directory. Place the directory on your web site and people will have a good reason to bookmark your site and return again and again -
maybe even refer your site, or the directory link, to others!Better yet, you can invite other site owners to add your free content directory to their web site by linking to yours. Everybody is happy: site owners offer added value to their visitors, visitors get great free content, and once again, you massively leverage your exposure. That's "free advertising" and
that's what I'm talking about here!Personally, I still believe that content is King and that smart marketers will keep using content to build their
Internet Home Business.
If you work at leveraging your marketing efforts by using the methods I've given you today, you will attract traffic to your web site over and over for many years to come.
