Don't let errors in your emails, blogs, ads and articles hamper your online profits.Copyright © GT Bulmer
http://www.StarrBizz.comEverybody wants to make money online and enjoy great success with their home-based Internet business. Unfortunately, poor quality marketing materials sometimes hinder the process.
It is important to make sure all of your ads, articles, blogs and emails are easy to understand and free from distracting features. If you want to keep your written material professional in appearance, there are a few elements of design and presentation that you must avoid.
The thing is, you often have just one fleeting chance to catch and keep the interest of your prospect. You don't want to blow it with a bad first impression. Spelling errors, excessive use of capitalization and punctuation marks, wildly contrasting font sizes, styles and colors can all be distracting. Long sentences and long paragraphs are tiring. Lengthy explanations frustrate readers and drive them away.
Here are a few elements to consider:
Line-wrap - adjusting the length of a line of text: Shorter lines are much easier to read than long lines. In most emails, ads and blogs, it is recommended to "wrap" your lines at 60-65 characters by doing a hard return with the "enter" key. Your text editor or email program may also let you format your lines to automatically wrap at the desired number of characters.
Excessive capitalization and punctuation: The odd fully-capitalized word or sentence might be okay, but excessive capitalization can turn readers off and make you look desperate, like you are trying too hard. Descriptive words and examples work better to emphasize your points.
Multiple exclamation or question marks at the end of a sentence come across as a lazy and unprofessional way to express your message. Again, use word choice and descriptive examples to do the selling for you.
Spelling errors: Marketing materials that contain obvious spelling and grammatical errors immediately bring to question the character of the marketer. Your reputation is on the line. Do you want to risk turning away paying prospects with poor quality marketing materials?
Friendly fonts: Font style preferences may vary depending on where you publish, but recommended fonts typically include Arial, Times New Roman and Courier New. It is best to use black or dark type on a white or very light background and it is always good to keep your message text the same font size. Otherwise, it can be distracting, particularly in emails, blogs and articles.
These are just a few elements to consider when creating your marketing materials. Remember, your reputation as an online marketer is at stake. You can improve your chances for financial success by focusing on care and quality in all that you do.
Yours in Prosperity,
GT
